Woodside Flowers is a bespoke floristry business based in Highgate, North London. We offer a range of services including home delivered bouquets, table flowers for that special dinner, floral designs for weddings and events and statement flowers for business premises. We also run a range of floristry workshops throughout the year
We are passionate about the beauty and joy that flowers bring to the world and how they improve our well-being. We follow the rhythm of nature using seasonal flowers and foliage, English grown when possible, which we buy mainly from Covent Garden Flower Market.
Our creative style is free and natural drawing inspiration from nature and art, evoking flowers just picked from the woods, countryside or your garden. We love to include unusual flowers that you won't find in the shops.
We care about our world and ensure that our flowers are responsibly sourced, that our approach safeguards the environment and all materials are biodegradable.
A personal touch and client appreciation is at the very heart of our business and at Woodside Flowers we aim to design unique flowers that blow you away.
MY STORY
Katie Lindsey- founder and owner Woodside Flowers
I am a City and Guilds qualified florist. I set up Woodside Flowers in 2018 and now enjoy creating floral designs for a range of clients. I am passionate about flowers and the beauty they bring to the world.
I didn’t start life as a florist but worked in health and public health services for many years. My love of flowers, however, started when I was a child. My mother, sister and I would collect, identify and press wild flowers in the Suffolk countryside where I grew up and I learnt all the names of English wild flowers. I still get so much pleasure from seeing wild flowers growing.
I now live in Highgate and walk Suki my dog in Highgate Woods and Hampstead Heath. I love getting out every day and seeing the changing face of nature which inspires my floral designs together with my love of modern and contemporary art and design. I aim to create designs that reflect our natural world and showcase the beautiful colours, contrasting textures and the purity of line of each flower and piece of foliage. I always use seasonal flowers and foliage, British grown when possible.
